The board of the International Association met for the first time in its new constellation. The members come from five different countries: Bertrand Knobel (Treasurer) from Switzerland, Dr Marián Damankoš from Slovakia, Dick den Bakker from the Netherlands, Judit Hallgató from Hungary and Michael Jacobs (Secretary) from Germany. Dr Gerhard Pfeiffer took over the position of the president on a provisional basis. As permanent observer ICCS president, Dr Peter Schreiner attended the meeting. The meeting took place at the Theodor-Fliedner-Gymnasium (Düsseldorf), the school that is headed by Michael Jacobs.

The board was delighted to be informed about the application for membership by Evangelisches Schulwerk Wien. The next general assembly will take place in Tallinn (Estonia) in October or November 2018 (the exact dates will be published soon on http://www.int-v.org). The topic will be “Contributions of Protestant Schools to a Society in Solidarity”. In addition, the Association is planning a soon-to-be study visit to Protestant schools in Germany for head teachers and educational experts from European countries.
