IV news:
In 2024, we are again planning a study trip for school leaders and education experts to promote professional exchange across national borders. This time, we will be travelling to Budapest, where the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Hungary has re-founded several schools after the end of communist rule or has returned them from state responsibility to church responsibility. Forms of cooperation between Protestant schools in Hungary and measures to recruit and support leaders through the church will be at the centre of attention alongside the school visits. And the city of Budapest naturally offers attractive cultural and tourist attractions. Our board member Judit Hallgatóné is in the process of putting together an exciting programme. However, the date has changed compared to the announcement in the IV Annual Report: 8-11 October 2024.
Our new member, the Association of Evangelical Schools in Slovakia (AESS), invites you to the IV General Assembly in Slovakia from 29 November to 01 December 2024. The venue will be either Presov, where our board member Marian Damankos runs the Protestant grammar school, or Bratislava. The main topic of the accompanying study day is still open; the Board is happy to receive suggestions.
